New Addition!

Welcoming Baby Cristian Emauel into our little family. Cristian wasn't anxious to come on time. Mommy believes it was so Daddy could spend more time then planned with us! You were born 3 days late on 3/5/11 @ 9pm (as mommy requested :) weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. You have been a joy to have around and you are an amazingly easy going little guy. You have been very alert and aware of your surroundings especially when big brother Adrian is around. Adrian loves you mucho and was excited to come home and see you the day after you were born. Daddy was only able to see you for the first 2 days of your life and then had to head back to work :(. Thank you for making me fall in love all over again little man. We love you!!!

Below posted by Daddy on FB the first hour of your life:

Cristian Emauel was born at 9pm Moutain Time. Mom and Baby are doing great. Misty did amazing. Another successful home birth. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and good wishes. Pictures to come soon.

Back in Utah

Visiting family and friends this Thanksgiving break. Our soon to be new home will be in Bremerton Washington. We are making a pit stop in Salt Lake before heading up to Washington. Luckily Nathanael got some time off of his crazy busy work schedule so we can both have a break from military life. Vacations always seem busier than regular life in our household. Lots of things to do and not much time to do it in. We are excited for the weather change....San Diego is always sunny, but we miss the four seasons. Can't wait to see the snow and see how Adrian reacts to it this time. He is at the age of understanding alot around him now and we think he will love the snow!

Daddy's Home!!

9 months of seperation and Nata is finally home. Oh how distance draws you closer to the ones you love. Adrian has grown a lot since Nata has been gone, but he hasn't forgotten who Papa is. We are crossing our fingers to be able to move at the end of May to be in our new home in San Diego again....while mom is working on getting things wrapped up at our old home (Utah). Nata might be leaving us again for a few months which will push back the move, either way we are happy he is safe and sound and just a phone call away.

Gone

Nathanael has been gone for almost 4 1/ 2 months now. Wow time sure flys by. If my calculations are right this would be the half way mark. I think this has been the longest that he has ever been apart from us (even with bootcamp). Adrian has grown a lot since he has been gone. But don't worry Nathanael he still calls you Papa when he sees your pictures....although he also calls George Lopez Papa too hahaha.

Tis but a small momment

Its amazing what things can happen in your life when you put the gospel first. For the last few days I have really had an open heart and an open mind to be able to hear the things the our savior wants me to know and to hear it with an open heart to be able to receive it and apply it in my life. So many of us work on changing others when the most important thing to do is to change ourselves. I don't know why I have this constant need to know everything. In the last few days the spirit told me not to do something because it isn't relevant...but bc I'm me I thought I had to know, and it really didn't matter and it only made me feel worse. If I would listen to that still small voice more often things would run a lot smoother. We don't always go down the path we want or we think is best, but HE knows, HE knows all things. If I would just listen life would be as has been said 'tis but a small momment.' I hope to be able to be more moldable and be the person in which HE wants me to be.

Jesus Take The Wheel

What a beautiful day it is......Sometimes we let go of what is most important due to various reasons (the reasons don't really matter because we all have different ones)...but today I have decided to "LET GO" and "Let Jesus take the wheel" (this is actually a good "letting go"). The Church and Jesus have been the center of our lives since we can remember and I know Nata would agree with me to say that we would like Him to always to be in the center. Sometimes He has moved up and down and hasn't quite been in the center but in our hearts we always want Him there. I hope by letting go and letting Him take the wheel our course will become smoother and if it becomes bumpy along the way we will know the bumps will end and smooth pavement will begin again.
